Ah, sapphire... just the name of this exotic stone conjures up so many wistful memories in this romantic Caribbean vacationer's mind. And it's not just a coincidence that Sapphire Beach is one of my favorite on the entire Island of St. Thomas. So don't let it come to you as surprise that staying here at this exceptionally luxurious hotel resort vacation destination tantamount to paradise for me. And I think it will pretty much be the same for you.

At first, you'll probably be blown away by the sheer size of this fabulous hotel resort vacation destination. Occupying a lengthy stretch of the Sapphire Beach - over 400 yards, in fact - this luxury resort claims a humungous swimming pool area and loads of palm trees surrounded by extensive low-rise villas and suites that make this a virtual oasis of tropical island pleasure - even amidst most of the other fine lodging facilities on this beautiful island of St. Thomas.

Yet while this is a truly luxurious island resort destination, there are a few quaint touches which make this place to stay all the more authentic for the happy island vacationer like you. For instance, one of the very surprising features of the large pool is that it is filled entirely with salt water. And aside from the innumerable therapeutic benefits of bathing in such water, it also provides a safe place for kids to swim in (I should mention here that baby cribs are a mere $10 extra each night) and an overall more natural feel to this fun-in-the-sun and family-friendly St. Thomas destination.

Now, I will continue with the description of the guest rooms. Well, in a nutshell, I will just say that it was very hard for me to leave the comfort provided to me by the Crystal Cove at Sapphire Bay West guest room villas. The spaciousness, the softness, and the breezy Caribbean class made me realize immediately that where I was staying was a cut far above what one might expect on any other funky Caribbean island resort. Indeed, you will probably undergo similar realizations as you sink into the posh quarters here that come equipped with fine amenities such as outdoor balcony, deluxe bathrooms and more.

Happy island guests who come to visit the Crystal Cove at Sapphire Bay West should remember, as alluded to earlier, that this place is extremely amenable to family groups who wish to enjoy the Caribbean sunshine together. That's why there's a pool and playground for the kiddies, and the option of a rollaway bed for a small hike in the price.
