It's been said in the past that those who fly with the Eagles will begin to fly just like the Eagles. Surprisingly, you might find yourself thinking back to this age-old adage while you sink your teeth into some of the most delectable island dishes on St. Thomas. Except this time the phrase will go a bit differently: those who dine with the celebrities will begin to dine like the celebrities.

So are you looking for the center of all of the action when it comes to fine dining during your visit to the beautiful U.S. Virgin Island of St. Thomas? Then look no further than the amazing Tavern on the Waterfront. Located right in the capital city of the province of the U.S. Virgin Islands - Charlotte Amalie - the Tavern represents what is probably considered the highest class of dining in nearly all of the Caribbean. At least, it certainly ranks up among the best in my book.

The reason that Tavern on the Waterfront is such an attractive place to dine stems largely from one simple fact: all of the celebrities who visit the US Virgin Island of St. Thomas will undoubtedly pay a visit here. Because of this, the rest of us follow suit. But once having actually tasted the food, you really that the reason people flock here has hardly anything to due with the sheep-mentality of those who seek contact with celebrities. Really, it's the sheer quality of the place - the food especially, although the service and the atmosphere here are certainly top notch as well - that keep us normal stock of visitors coming back again and again.

Since it's really my favorite aspect of Tavern on the Waterfront, let's start with the food. But where, oh where to begin? Admittedly a fan of the red meat, I'm going to have to pass over all of the delectable seafood for a brief moment as I leap into an enthusiastic description of the unbelievable prim rib selections offered at this first rate dining establishment. And just to get a faint idea of how well-prepared this specialty dish is, you might just want to consider the fact that it doesn't take hours - but rather days - to soak, marinate, tenderize and cook these deluxe and incredibly sumptuous delights.

Aside from these irresistible ribs, however, it would also be practically criminal not to mention the other savory pork menu items cooked up by the incredibly chefs here. Oh my. It's the exotic platter which will really catch your attention - as well as the attention of your taste buds - when you dig in. But don't forget the seafood altogether. Here at Tavern on the Waterfront, it's cooked up with quality and served with taste.

Come visit the Tavern on the Waterfront at the Mall of the Royal Dane just to the right of the famous Waterfront Highway in the capital city of Charlotte Amalie.
